Agriculture is evolving rapidly with new technologies like AI and IoT. These advancements are improving productivity and sustainability. Farmers now have better tools for crop monitoring, water management, and pest control, leading to increased yields.

ISDT team has conducted CDO lecture at Bhuj on 4th December 2011. As the enrollement of 20 Optician is completed from Bhuj, per ISDT policy, the lecture for these Optician is conducted. Two important topics were covered in detail: Progressive Lenses & Refraction. The lecture was conducted in very informal setting to facilitate the learning in open enviornment. Mr. satishbhai of sahkar Optical made all the arrangements for ISDT team. It was a good experience to conduct the lecture in one of the port cities of India.

The CDO lecture conducted successfully at COOS, Nasik. The next lecture is scheduled on 9^th October 2011 on Progressive Lenses.

The Certificate in Dispensing optics (CDO) programme by ISDT is now approved by Indira Gandhi National open University (IGNOU). This is the only course for opticians that is approved by  Central Government University. This opens a huge opportunity for Opticians to upgrade themselves. This upgradation is critical to face tough competitive and legal environment.
