The innovative concept of ON DEMAND TRAINING is introduced to maintain the flexibility of time for larner/students. The larner/students can choose the topics which they feel they must learn practically under the instructor. The DEMAND can be made for practical session. The institute arranges the same at its campus or at its affiliate/ partner organization. The dates are conveyed to the larner/students and then they can attend the training.

The Institute has developed an innovative delivery model for its courses for professionals called ON DEMAND TRAINING. The training is delivered through centers (depending on larner/students strength from area), online and through telecounseling along with world-class printed study materials. Training is also delivered by collaborating with professional associations (eg. optical associations). Industry participation in training delivery ensures latest updates in products and dispensing.

The Institute has collaborated with College of Optometry, Nashik to impart practical training to larner/students and professionals

How do an Optician contribute to national cause?

  • Opticianary is only part of an eye care spectrum that touches life in every nook and corner of society. Optician is generally a first point of contact for eye care needs of a common person.
  • Most of the times serious eye conditions are first detected at optician shop in vision testing procedure when person goes to make a spectacle or change lenses of old spectacles.
  • As an Optician is present right from a village to metro city, they have a reach in length and breadth of the country or region and thus able to provide better access to primary eye care.
  • Other service providers in this field are mostly present in cities, to access their services is bit expensive, time consuming and difficult for needy staying in backward or rural areas where business potential for high end services is very low.
  • Looking at this scenario, the contribution of an Optician is crucial in early detection of conditions, detection and treatment of refractive errors (one of the most important causes of preventable blindness in world) and dispensing of visual aids.
  • Optician, if comes across any other eye condition other than refractive errors or suspects the presence of other conditions, is the first person to suggest patient to seek Ophthalmologist’s opinion and thus helps in eradication of preventable blindness and possible handicap for a patient which otherwise remain undetected.

This role and responsibility underlines the crucial need of certification.
